Who is the course for?
The course is for:
- anyone embarking on CILEx Level 3 study with ITC. This is an introductory course that we recommend as the starting point if you haven't studied law before. It is also a compulsory part of the ILEX Level 3 qualifications referred to in the section below.
- any member of the public wishing to enhance general knowledge by learning about the criminal and civil justice systems in England and Wales including how laws are made and the role of lawyers. It would be an ideal alternative to A level Law if you wish to find out whether the law interests you and whether you have an aptitude for it. You may wish to select an ILEX Level 3 course in a specific area of law to study alongside it.
- a training manager or human resources manager in a law firm. This course will provide excellent background knowledge to help you in your role.
What qualification will I get?
This course does not amount to a qualification on its own, although success in the unit does contribute seven credits to your learning record. The unit can be used to contribute to a CILEx Level 3 Certificate in Law and Practice or the CILEx Level 3 Professional Diploma in Law and Practice which are both listed on the national database of accredited qualifications for England and Wales.
