City & Guilds/ILEX Level 3 Certificate for Legal Secretaries - £425
These courses are for you if you are already a secretary or an administrator and you would like to move into the legal field or build on your current legal secretarial skills. Alternatively, you may already have qualification in law and would like to add secretarial skillls to improve your employment prospects. If you can use a keyboard but do not have any secretarial, administrative or legal training then we suggest that you enrol on courses leading to the City & Guilds/ILEX Level 2 Certificate for Legal Secretaries.
What wil I study?
You will learn to create complex documents using both text and audio sources, and how to use office house styles and templates. You will also find out how to plan and coordinate an event and gain an understanding of the courts system.The syllabus also covers health and safety issues.
How will I be taught?
ITC is approved by CIty & Guilds for the delivery of these courses. City & Guilds has awarded ITC grade 'A' for very aspect of our course delivery including our management systems, resources, candidate support, assessment and quality assurance procedures.
When you enrol with ITC you will receive course materials for the units that make up your qualification. You will have access to the on-line course forum as well as to our academic helpline to assist you as you go along. Once you have worked through the manual for a unit, and attempted the practice exercises within it, you can request your assignment.
How are the units assessed?
Each unit is assessed by one assignment. As you complete each assessed assignment, you submit it to your ITC tutor for marking and comment. The table below shows the assignments and test conditions for each type of unit. ITC will inform City &Guilds/ILEX of your assignment results. Once you have completed all the units that make up your chosen qualification ITC will request your Certificate from City & Guilds.
