Applying to be a Freelance Law, Legal Practice or Professional Skills Tutor
ITC often has opportunities for freelance tutors for our ILEX subjects as well as our customised training courses. This mainly involves marking assignments electronically and can be fitted around other work or domestic commitments.
Senior tutors can also become involved in writing and updating the materials we use to deliver such courses to our students. And those with lecturing experience may be interested in our series of face- to- face revision courses.
We look for legally qualified tutors who are educated to at least degree standard, including Fellows of ILEX. You will preferably have a teaching qualification in further or higher education, or specific teaching experience, perhaps in a training role at work.
We agree a workload to suit the circumstances of individual tutors. You will be provided with all relevant course materials, and tutor mark schemes. We also offer our tutors access to our legal resource database and a copy of the Legal Executive Journal which is published monthly. There are networking opportunities with fellow tutors and authors at occasional ITC receptions.
We currently have no vacancies.

Applying to be a Freelance English Tutor
ITC often has opportunities for freelance tutors to teach remedial written English. New students on our ILEX Level 3 Unit 1 Introduction to law and Practice course are given the opportunity to have a piece of hand-writing marked so that any issues with grammar and punctuation can be identified at an early stage. If you have experience in teaching English to adults we would like to hear from you.
We agree a workload to suit the circumstances of individual tutors. You will be provided with all relevant course materials, and tutor mark schemes.
